BWS member Mathe Shepheard will  be holding an exhibition  at the ARTIFAX Gallery Mitchell Centre, Sutton Coldfield B75 6NA

During the 1970’s she was a member of Sutton Coldfield Society of Arts and since completing her research and retiring from lecturing, she has resumed painting, exhibiting in the Friends and Open Exhibition at the RBSA and with the Birmingham  Watercolour Society.

Mathé works in watercolour, mixed media and ink, finding that freely applied watercolour is the medium which lends itself most effectively to creating echoes of the lustres she used on her porcelain vases and the interesting effects produced in glass objects from the heat of the fire.
