President Robin Holder and Committee would like to take this opportunity of wishing all members of the Watercolour Society a very Happy Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
Hopefully the latest Covid Safety measures will not hamper your plans too much going forward. We are sure that we can all look back on this year realising that there were certain things that allowed us to get our lives back to some normality, albeit not quite that normal.
Hopefully your everyday lives and our art were not affected too much. The lifting of restrictions did help us to get our meetings at the Quinborne Centre going once again, but understandably attendances were down somewhat.
Our only Exhibition this year was at the Selly Manor Museum. Sadly this was only for one week in September. The exhibition was very well received by visitors once again, especially on Heritage day when many visitors from the Village of Bournville and surrounding areas visited the Museum celebrations.
Thank you to those members who entered some work, it all helps to get our great name out there.
As you are aware the Committee have been working hard on the way the Society need to go forward in 2022. We all recognise the need for changes and our thoughts on the changes will be relayed to you in the New Year.
Finally I would like to remind you all regarding the increase in subscriptions for 2022.
Subscriptions as you will be aware have been held at £25 for many years now, with the increase of £30 being a small jump.
Some members have already made a payment by Bank Transfer or Cheque to which we thank you. Payment is required during January please.
International Members, those who have not already paid, let me know if you are happy to continue with your membership so that we can update our Members Booklet ready for printing around March, as you will be aware we did not produce a handbook during 2021.
