About the artist:
Susan studied art at St Martins School of Art in London, followed by a year at the Royal College of Art doing Graphic Design.
After leaving the Royal College she did a few jobs in Illustration, working for Chatto & Windus.
She then concentrated more on painting, having exhibitions in London starting with Heals in Tottenham Court Road, then moving to Hartley Wintney.
During 1960 she married & moved to Chaddesley Corbett in Worcestershire, where she lived and painted for more than 50 years, having exhibitions in Birmingham & Worcester.
Now she has moved to Blakedown a few miles away, and still painting and apart from the BWS is also a member of the Kidderminster Art Society & the RBSA.
Susan is well known for her landscape & Flower paintings, & works mainly in watercolour but also paints in oils & mixed media.
She has also experimented with various painting methods.
Susan enjoys painting & sketching local subjects, especially gardens.
