RI PAINTERS IN WATERCOLOUR 209TH EXHIBITION 2021

BWS member Jo Lloyd has mentioned to me the RI 209th exhibition at the Mall Galleries this year has extended the date for entries now until Friday March 5th at 12 noon. So there is time for BWS Members to enter some work should you wish.

Artists are invited to submit work for exhibition alongside members of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours at their 209th Exhibition 2021.

An invitation to exhibit your watermedia work alongside the best watercolour artists at the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours 209th Exhibition.

“This exhibition, our 209th, has a prize fund of over £8,000 and as always will exhibit the work of selected artists alongside that of RI members. Last year we exhibited just under 450 works of art, almost half being by non-member artists, in the largest exhibition of its kind” – Rosa Sepple, President of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours

The RI welcomes watercolour or water-soluble mediums including watercolour, acrylic, ink or gouache (excluding water-soluble oils) painted on paper or paper based support.

The exhibition offers the opportunity to win awards, worth over £8,000, and have your work seen by thousands of visitors including buyers and collectors.

Prizes include:

The Winsor & Newton Award: £3,000

The Winsor & Newton Product Prize: £1,000 worth of Winsor & Newton art materials

The Leathersellers’ Prize: £1,000 awarded by The Worshipful Company of Leathersellers to an artist aged between 18 and 30 years old

* * * DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FRIDAY 5 MARCH | EXHIBITION DATES UPDATED * * *

To make the process of submitting and selecting work simpler and safer, the society will select works for exhibition from online only.

Selectors will make an assessment of each work based on the digital images supplied, following which selected artists will be asked to deliver their work to the Mall Galleries for exhibition.

Check on the Mall Galleries website for further information.

Good Luck.
