The Vice President and Committee would like to take this opportunity of wishing all members of the Watercolour Society a very Happy Christmas and of course a very much different New Year in 2021.
The Covid 19 Pandemic this year interrupted our Calendar somewhat, with the cancellation of two planned exhibitions, and of course our monthly meeting evenings.
Our yearly Society Festive Lunch was also a non event and sadly missed by everyone. Hopefully we can look forward to this once again in 2021/22
It is difficult to project how things will pan out in the New Year regarding exhibitions, however, in regards to the Himley Hall Exhibition, we should be able to pick up where we left that one easily, once we get some positive information back from Himley Hall. We understand that during the Lockdown, the proprietors use the time to carry out some refurbishment work, so we can look forward to that.
As our entries have already been submitted it should be a straight forward job to continue. It will just be a job of delivering our works.
The same applies to the cancelled Selly Manor Exhibition , we should be able to pick that one up again during September. However at the time of writing it is difficult to cast any plans in stone until we are allowed for the Committee to meet once again in the New Year once it is possible in order to form some positive plans.
We were fortunate to be able to continue with the Granary Gallery Exhibition at Weston Park once again. This was once again an attractive and well presented exhibition showing our work. The footfall, however was down due to the pandemic, but we received many plaudits and managed three sales, with congratulations going to George Loades & Brian Garbett on their sales.
Finally, we are sure that the Lockdowns this year if nothing else, has helped us all to get some sketching & painting done. Please let me have any new work that you would like me to change over on your page of the website pages, and freshen up for the New Year.

Wishing you all a Very Happy & Safe Xmas this everyone. Hoping it is not too long in 2021 when we can all meet up again.
