BWS Member Christina Hopkinson has today been given some good news which she wishes to share with us.

She sent six of her miniature watercolours to a juried exhibition in Florida – The Miniature Art Society Of Florida – and learnt on Saturday evening that one of them won the  ‘Best Work For A First Time Entrant Award’.

The work that won is called ‘Remember Me’ and Christina says… “This is a combination of a window in Haddon Hall church just outside Bakewell, our visiting robin from some years ago, and I tied a yellow ribbon around the bunch of lavender. I put them all together in my imagination and it was one of those images I just felt compelled to get down onto paper.”

‘Remember Me’ is the top left painting.
